Counselor’s Corner
School-based counseling with Mrs. Jamie Ulloa, our Social Worker/Counselor — classroom lessons, small groups, individual supports, and community connections.
Individual Supports
Targeted to your child’s individualized needs: regular check-in/check-out visits, behavioral plans, and family consultations, with interventions and topics that fit the student’s interests, developmental level, and areas of concern. Individual supports do not replace outside counseling; referrals can be provided for services beyond the school counselor’s role.
Small Groups
Groups of six or fewer meet during scheduled times arranged to limit instructional interruption, providing targeted interventions that meet your student’s particular needs.
Classroom Lessons
Evidence-based lessons aligned with American School Counselor Association standards, delivered twice a month in collaboration with teachers. Topics come from classroom data, observations, and student needs, and combine handouts, discussion, and hands-on activities for every learning style.
Community Partnership
The counselor connects the school, students, and families with community partnerships — special presenters, community service opportunities, and community resources.

Please complete this form if you would like to request that Mrs. Ulloa meet with your student individually. Each student participating in small groups or individual counseling must complete the Parental Consent for School-Based Counseling, which outlines the ethical and professional limitations regarding information disclosed during sessions.
