Six Gilbert Arts Academy students were awarded with Character Counts awards at an award ceremony breakfast hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley. Town of Gilbert's Mayor, John Lewis and Gilbert Public Schools Superintendent, Dave Allison presented the students with their awards.
Gilbert Arts Academy will host 3 additional open houses for families to learn more about what the school has to offer children in KRP - 6th grades, and who may be interested in enrolling their children. The open houses have a Hawaiin theme and include a healthy snack and a fun craft for children. The dates for the open houses are April 30, May 7, and May 14 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and will be held at the school campus 862 East Elliot Road in Gilbert.

Staff and students are sending a huge "Thank you!" to Pastor Danny Dodson and the members of Real Life Church! In conjunction with www.forourtcity.org/Gilbert , a group of kind-hearted hearted individuals gave generously of their time and effort by painting, installing swing mats, and many other TLC projects around the campus this weekend. School faculty claimed "it looks so beautiful this morning, its almost like an Extreme Makeover!
