4/6 Update from Ms. Arnold--
Hi GAA Families!
Today we are beginning week 3 of distance learning. Thank you all for the support you have been providing from home to ensure that students are completing their assignments - whether in packet form or on Google Classroom. Now, more than ever, we must be a united team so that we can make sure each student is prepared for next year!
Our goal over the coming weeks is to prepare all of our students for success in their next grade. To do this teachers are focusing instruction on two areas: 1. grade-level standards not yet taught this year and 2. essential skills for success in the following grade.
It is extremely important that all students are completing their assignments on a regular basis to the best of their abilities. It is also important that, while helping with practice assignments, you allow your child to do their assessments on their own. That way, the teacher can assess what their students do understand and what they do not understand. Also, please encourage your child to do their best work and show EXCELLENCE when turning in their assignments. Students are receiving grades for their work.
We are still here to support our students and families during this time. You can stay up-to-date on information and communicate with us in a variety of ways.
Here are some upcoming school wide events. Be on the lookout for more information on these!
PK - 1st Grade Packet Pick-up: April 10th from 10am - 2pm
GAA School Spirit Week: Week of May 4th
Virtual Art Walk
