About Us

Gilbert Arts Academy, a public charter elementary school, is located close to the heart of downtown Gilbert, and is one of The Leona Group’s first elementary schools to open in Arizona. The Leona Group has had a presence in Arizona since 1997 and now manages more than twenty-eight schools throughout the state.

Gilbert Arts Academy is chartered by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools. Extensive research went into curriculum implementation, and commitment to maintaining a strong academic core remains steadfast. Additionally, it is our belief that every child can learn but that learning styles may be as diverse as children themselves. To that end we strive to employ only the most qualified, dedicated and professional staff and conduct regular professional development days to ensure our staff remain on the cutting edge of technology, teaching methods and curriculum.
