Gilbert Arts Academy is accredited by AdvancED, Worldwide. AdvancED brought together 100 years of expertise from the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. AdvancED serves more than 27,000 public and private schools and school districts in 69 countries.
The process of accreditation is voluntary and is a rigorous set of protocols to ensure quality assurance. It involves review, evaluation and provides a graded report of the school's performance, mission, teacher performance and data results. To students and parents, the knowledge of attending an accredited school means attending a quality school with transcripts acknowledged worldwide.
As a prior AZ Learns 'excelling' school and now under the new performance rating, a 'B' graded school, we set and held high the standard of academics. The integration of our arts program ensures our students receive exposure to different and diverse mediums, enabling them to maximize their learning experience. Additionally we incorporate Power Teaching techniques in the classroom. The learning styles among children are as diverse as children can be, but we share in the belief that children learn more when they are having fun. Power teaching incorporates humor and games into a well organized, structured class where children find it more fun to work with the teacher and follow rules than ignoring them.
