Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new and returning families back to school! The Gilbert Arts Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is very excited for the 2016-2017 school year.
The PTO is a volunteer organization of parents whose children currently attend GAA. It is our goal to work side-by-side with school administration to ensure student needs are accommodated to the best of our abilities. Working as a team, we strive for the success of our children. For the PTO to be effective and a true representation of our school, it is essential to have parent involvement. All parents and caregivers of our students are welcome to participate, whether it is time or sharing an idea, it is greatly appreciated.
An important goal of the PTO is good communication with our families. We find that sending information thru email and via our Facebook and Instagram pages is not only cost effective but ideal for our busy families. Flyers for school events and activites will also be sent home with our students.
At orientation, PTO will be collecting the annual dues of $10 for each student. With paid PTO dues, students will receive their GAA spirit t-shirt that can be worn on Fridays and are required for all field tips. These dues along with our fundraisers help support curriculum and assist in funding school field trips.

This year, the goal of GAA PTO is to continue updating and improving technology throughout the campus. We want what is best for our students.
During the school year, PTO has quarterly meetings to discuss current and upcoming events. At each meeting we also review the PTO financial report, any teacher requests received, School Leader messages, parent concerns, and we open the floor for suggestions and discussion. Attendance at these meetings is encouraged and we hope you will join us.

Additionally, many of our parent volunteers have worked tirelessly on different projects including stagecraft projects, lunch recess, running copies, leveling books for the AR program and so much more! Our parent volunteers are truly appreciated and are an integral part of the team at GAA. We're always looking for more volunteers to help.
