The KRP program introduces children to the concept of school in a playful  and nuturing environment.  Our classroom provides a learning community where  children grow together.  They begin to consider the world outside themselves as they forge new friendships and explore thematic units in a well balanced
curriculum. 
Teaching social skills is a priority, emphasizing oral language and cooperative learning.  Children are taught how to handle conflicts, to accept the consequences of their actions and to make restitution.
To prepare children for kindergarten we build the child's number sense and alphabet knowledge through hands-on activities, songs, poetry and games.  These foundations are ingetrated into thematic units that raise their awareness.

A variety of exceptional children's literature ties these units together and a myriad of related arts and craft projects build the fine motor skills essential for success in writing.
